Flux Projects produces exceptional and creative temporary public art in the city of Atlanta. They needed an identity that was able to express this while adapting to their ever changing medium.
We started with an "X" to represent the bringing together of the artist and the means. Secondary, since Flux Projects is produced in temporary locations, "X" marks the spot of where an event is taking place. A window, because viewing the city through Flux Project's eyes allows you to see the city in a new and surprising way. A clock because like Flux Projects, time is ever changing.

We chose Nick Cave's Up Right: Atlanta, Flux's biggest project of the year, to launch the new identity. Cave is renowned for his fluid, wearable sound sculptures and we wanted the first iteration of the new logo to reflect his work. We landed on the furry colorful mark above, and made a splash page for Flux.org to promote the event
